Production Meeting

This page is my production meeting; over time, this page will be updated with notes taken with my meeting with my clients

Meeting #1

  • The purpose of this first production meeting is to get a earlier review of our work and get feedback and improve it to meet the needs of the client. Here’s what happen in this production meeting:

  • The front page is good as it is inviting. But make yourself more noticeable.

  • Black logo on the left could be the entire screen. Behind the flower.

  • Spelling and grammar should be checked again.

  • You NEED to make all the briefs NOW. Single page brief for all projects.

  • Photography, add brief. Go back to content sheet. Type, purpose. Link to website and Facebook.

  • Promotional material for LAP charity, design popup banners, adoption event. Write more about who LAP are.

  • Research your client. Research rescuing monkey’s.

  • Get digital copies of the brochure to show you did research. What they have and what they produce. If you write the brief refer to examples you have already. Redesign LAP logo.

  • Script and drafts is long process with specific skills. Invest in this but unit is showing what a brief is. Make it most benefit to you. Maybe don’t do first, second and third draft just do one draft. You could develop drafts further if you wish.

  • Videography show poodles for TV script or LAP. Overlap projects. Link it to others such as script having trailer. Be creative and use other people to help. Choose your interests.

  • Have a link to brochure, pre pro doc, photos, post production, final product.

  • Make sure that all work is all on one site and don’t make people leave the site.

Meeting #2

  • In this production meeting, the purpose is that the client would want to see how the work is progressing and whether any feedbacks were made since the last production meeting.

  • The client has noticed that there is a brief and that one of the comments the client said has been amended.

  • However, the client does not see much output I created. Therefore, the client would like to see more output created before the next production meeting.

Meeting #3

  • The purpose of this production meeting is for the client to see more output created as the last meeting the client did not see as many outputs.

  • The client has noticed more output in the scriptwriting and photography project however not much on the scriptwriting itself.

  • In terms of rebranding the logo for scriptwriting and photography. These are the logos the client likes for the script writing and photography projects respectively.

  • The brief compiled on the home page does not look good. The client rather has each individual brief attracted to each page. For example, the photography brief on the photography page.

Meeting #4

  • In this production meeting, the client would like to focus on the photography work

  • The client thinks that the “About” page is too bland should include more information about me and more visual.

  • One of the pop-up banners, the client thinks the cat is too fake and unprofessional. The client suggests I should lower the brightness of the eye as it’s too scary.

  • The client liked the calendar, but the weekly calendar has the sun which makes it look too fake. The client wanted a black outline of the drawings to make it look like a drawing.

  • The client wants to see what it looks like if I created the calendar for all the other months.

Meeting #5

  • In this production meeting, the purpose is for the client to focus on the scriptwriting work.

  • The client wants each poster and output to be labelled and have a brief description as to what the poster is trying to show.

  • One of the posters for “Blue is the newer orange”, the Netflix logo seems to not fit in the image. Maybe replace the Netflix logo somewhere else within the poster.

  • In the other poster, the client thinks one of the characters seems like it's not supposed to be there and should be deleted from the poster.

  • The client noticed not much progress made on the script itself and should spend more time focusing on the scriptwriting.

  • The client suggests that there's the page could include a brief description of the characters in the show as well as the pilot episode I am trying to write. It is so that there is some evidence of pre-production and planning of the script.

  • The client was pleased with the research and planning are shown in regards to the scriptwriting work; the client is interested to see how will the script for the first episode will be.

  • In regards to the joint project, the client was not pleased with the progress after a month. The client would like to see more evidence of working together cohesively in creating a short film. The client wants to my team member and me to work together in coming up with a clear idea with the short film.

Meeting #7

  • The purpose of this production meeting is for the client to see overall with how all of the projects are coming along.

  • The client seems happy at the outputs and pre-production; there are no significant issues with them.

  • The client wanted to see more outputs and a clear timeline for each project. Especially with the scriptwriting where I can show the client changes, I make between the first and final draft.

  • The client has noticed that the videography project has been started, however, has been put on the website. The client suggest that editing the videos should be done as soon as possible.

  • The client didn’t notice that I placed multiple photos for my videography project. The client suggests I should instead make it into a grid of college so that it’s more visible to see the multiple images I took from Japan.
