How clearly is your message conveyed?
I think the message in my advert is clear because I think my advert is informative, showing facts about my product. I showed captions and a clear image about my product.
However, there were some parts in my advert which I think doesn’t clearly conveys my message. For example, in advert 1, a low angle of bikers passing by the camera is to show the wind, however, I think it doesn’t clearly conveys the message.
How well did you target your audience?
I think my advert did not target my audience well because I think some of the advert does not explain how it suites my target audience. Instead, I have talked about my product to the audience in general.
There was some aspects that I think has targeted my target audience. For example, in advert 2, it shows families barbecuing which matches my target audience for this advert which is families.
How well did you plan and prepare?
When it comes to planning and preparing my work, I think there were some shots that I was unable to shoot (like Advert 1, Scene 1- where it shows a bird's eye view of the location) because I was unable to find a drone to do this show, therefore there was a shot of a low angle of bikers riding past the camera to improvise this shot. There was some shots where It was different to my plan like Advert 1 Scene 3 where the plan shows the biker riding the bike moving right. However when I actually shoot it, the biker moving left. I think it isn’t a big deal and It does not affect my advert therefore, It’s okay to have this shot.
I could have plan the dates by shooting it earlier because when I went out to shoot, the day got dark quickly therefore, I had to reschedule my shooting. When it comes to the paperworks like risk assessment, I think I have planned it well because when I went shooting for advert 1, It rained and luckily, I brought an umbrella along. I also planned my location scout well; assessing the surroundings of my location because I am very familiar with the location.
How technically competent is your work?
I think the quality of my video is bad however, I think the transitions and captions in my work works well. When editing, I could have make all of my captions and transitions more smooth because I think some of the captions and transitions in my advert were not smooth.
How effective is your work?
I think my advert is effective because I think the form and style of my advert is what I’ve wanted it to be. However, what I think doesn’t work well is how one advert shows more information than the other, I think advert 1 shows more information rather than advert 3.
What changes would you make?
If I were to redo this and make changes, I could have better use more voiceover to give my audience more information about my product. I would also make sure that the camera wasn’t too shaky to make sure that my audience can see my advert clearly. I would also want to go back and add in a logo to my advert.
Another changes I could make is that I could come back to the location when there are less people and less distracting things in the way.
What was the general response from your audience?
Audience #1

The music that you chose fit well, and the editing overall was pretty good
Cons

You take too many long pauses in between sentences

You keep changing your focus points in the ad and it's a bit distracting
-
This is me nitpicking, but in ad 1 you forgot to mute some shots, and I can hear the background noises.
Audience #2
-
Overall quite good but time lapse in advert 3 at 0:22 is quite shaky and the end is too dark (ad 3) Ad 1 is quite good and well made.
