Q&A session
From what the people saw in the pitch, the questions my peers asked were:
-
Since Yui has OCD, how will she tackle the topic of her having OCD
-
Will you do research to make sure they are represented correctly?
-
-
Since it is crime, would you assume that one of your locations will be in a police station or something?
-
Is the pilot of the show progresses to the present or leading up to the event, will the pilot show flashback?
-
Have you done research into the audiences at 35 years old and how will you cater audiences at the age?
-
Is there any particular reason?
-
-
Why should I watch it instead of something else
-
Why is it better than other shows?
-
Given the questions and answers from my pitch, it will help improve script as it will help me consider how will I make my script cater to the target audiences accordingly. Things I will change in my final draft is to have the audience see clearly that she has OCD, have a setting in a police station, make sure that it targets ages 16-35 years old.
This also shows that I should do more research into my target audiences and ensuring what makes this show better from other shows; influences that make up my show. I have mentioned from my research that some of the elements of my show (like the location, humour and casting) will be like the TV show Friends, however, I didn’t mention that in my pitch which was what caused my peer to wonder what makes this show better than others.
